In this photo Kurt Kobain is wearing an awful, big, white and beige, striped, denim, mao-necked, jacket which is fairly opened in front and quite damaged; some beautiful, long, light blue, plain, denim, flared, trousers. A simple, white, plain, cotton, round-necked t-shirt; a pair of trendy, black and white, denim, flat, shoes which are white on the sole and shoelace but black everything else. They remember me to the Converse.

THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD

Nirvana was an american band formed in Seattle -as all the Grunge bands- in 1987. It was composed by the singer Kurt Cobain, the bassist Krist Novoselik and the drummer, who first was Chad Channing but they decided to change it in 1990 and they chose Dave Grohl. They made 3 albums and the most famous was Nevermind with the song "smells like teen spirit" becoming one of the most recognizable songs in the world. After the dead of Kurt Kobain the rest of the members decided to part ways and break the group.

Their style was quite dull and sad as they wore dirty, damaged clothes and their songs were fairly negative but sometimes the lyrics were contradicted, for example: "I'm such a nihilistic jerk half the time and other times I'm so vulnerable and sincere".

If I had to pick one song I would definitely choose Something in the Way . This song was composed in 1991 and is part of their most famous album, Nevermind. I like it because is one of the few lyrics that I understand a little bit and also because the beat is calm but interesting. Kurt Cobain wrote this song thinking in some difficult moments that he went throught the puberty, as there were rumours that he lived under a bridge, but it was fastly proved that it was false. He once said that when he was writing this song he was thinking how would be living there with sida and being unable to move. He added that it would be a fantasy.
